Obituary of Margaret Ann Walters

Our dear Margaret Ann Walters went to Heaven into the loving arms of Jesus early Wednesday morning, May 20, 2026 after a courageous two year battle with sarcoma.

Margaret was born September 14, 1948 in Sacramento, CA to Jay and Harriett Farnsworth. She graduated high school in Grantsville UT where she met her husband Ronald Dean Walters. They married in August 1967. Margaret loved working and volunteering in her community where she made lifelong friends. Her greatest joy was sharing her faith and her love of Jesus. Up until her final days she sent daily devotions to her children and grandchildren.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard Farnsworth, daughter Penny Walters.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Dean Walters, Wendy (Gary) Riddle, John (Melinda) Walters, sister Annette (Bob) Robison, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the First Baptist Church of Grantsville, Huntsman Cancer Institute and Harmony Home Health and Hospice.

Services will be held Thursday, June 4th at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church of Grantsville where we will share stories and memories to celebrate her life.

  1. Wendy, Ashton, & family, I am so sorry for your loss. Margaret is an amazing person and every time I talked with her I could feel of her love for her family and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is great example to all who knew her.

  2. I have so many memories with Margaret I will always cherish them. She was always willing to spend time and listen to you. Love and miss you

  3. My deepest condolences to the family. I had the opportunity to become friends with Margaret while we worked at Walmart. We became Walmart family. She always had a warm loving spirit, she was kind to everyone. She will definitely leave an absence in this world. Until we meet again my sweet friend❤️

  4. Margret was always kind, Friendly and caring for all. I have known her because we both live in Grantsville. Four days before Margret passed and since then I have been thinking about her a lot and then I found out she died Wednesday and I know why I was thinking about her. There’s a power and an energy that happens when you love someone. I love and miss you, Margret.

  5. Today we speak your name with love,
    And hold your memory near,
For though we cannot see your smile,
We still can feel you here.

In quiet ways you shaped our lives,
    With kindness, strength, and grace,
And time will never take away
    The warmth of your embrace.

The world feels softer for your touch,
    Though now you’ve gone ahead,
Your laughter lingers in our hearts,
    In every tear we shed.

So rest in peace, dear Margret,
    Your journey now is free,
And those who loved you carry on
With all you gave so selflessly.

    Until we meet again someday,
    Beyond this grief and pain,
We’ll find you in the morning light
    And whisper your sweet name.

  6. Heaven has grown more precious with the homegoing of our dear friend and sister in Christ. My prayers are with Dean, John, Wendy and the rest of the family as they remember this special lady.
